Lots of beautiful flowers!

I have taken live classes with Jacqueline Butler before and was very happy when she published her book as it would be reinforcing what I had learned before and to my surprise this book has many beautiful flowers and the steps are clearly detailed, I would recommend it to anyone whatever level since it's very useful and the instructions are easy to follow

My new favourite!

I have been decorating for several years now. I have a vast collection of books, and whilst many of them are beautiful to look out, there are very few (in fact probably only one or two) that I can say I use on a regular basis. The rest just sit there collecting dust. Well I can safely say 'Modern Sugar Flowers' is going to be added to those few that are treasured and used over and over! Not only is it the most beautiful book, filled with glorious images, it is a book that will be referenced constantly. I can already foresee the pages becoming worn and covered in cornflour!
Unlike many cake-decorating books, which give you a number of individual cake designs, the lessons you will learn in this book can be applied to any cake you wish to be adorned in sugar flowers. There are lessons not just in how to make (multiple) flowers, but in how to colour them and arrange them on your cakes. The images are beautiful, and the instructions are concise and straight forward. I have long been a fan of Jacqueline Butler's work, and I'm thrilled to bits to finally have my hands on her first book!

Flipping through the pages, I could feel the love Jacqueline poured into this book.
No fluff and down to the point with clean and crisp photos (just the way I like it) and instructions, this book is definitely for everyone-- whether you are a seasoned artist or just starting to learn the craft!
Not to mention, the photographer did an impeccable job in capturing the essence of Petalsweet! It is almost as if the camera lens are Jacqueline's eyes and the readers get to experience the artist's thought process and perspective on design, with each photo.
