About the Author
Ellis H. Skolfield is a conservative author and Bible teacher who received his theological training at Columbia Bible College. He has written five books on Bible Prophecy and two on church ordinances. His books are now considered standard reference works by many churches.

This book has the answer

This book helped me help a close person that had multiple personalities since childhood. After extensive study of this book I was able to be a guide for this person and was taken on a journey to a place I never knew existed. At first I was amazed at how everything was as written in the book; however, the layout inside was a little more complicated than the scenarios in the book, but there was a guide inside to help us to get to each next step. The end result was a merge of all personalities to become one, no more alters. It was such an amazing journey and I give all glory to Jesus Christ for this healing that has taken place.

Unique insight into the inner world of some multiples

A friend of mine with DID absolutely loved this book! She was delighted to read that there were others with DID who experienced their inner worlds much the same as she did. She was relieved to discover that she was not the only one out there with such an elaborate inner world. As in this book, her inner world was positively influenced by caring and trusted friends on the outside who counseled her and prayed with her. She was thrilled to read that there were others who saw and experienced the kinds of things that she did in her inner world. This book is unique in that it offers a glimpse into the inner world that some multiples experience and how they visualize their inner world. It helped me understand how my friend pictures her inner world and how she interacts with it. A great benefit of this book is that it shows how the imagination and creativity of a multiple can be used to help bring a tremendous degree of healing. I've seen firsthand the encouragement this book has brought to someone with DID and appreciate the author's unique, out of the box, and non traditional approach to helping bring healing to multiples. Skeptics should not so easily and readily dismiss the idea that a real loving God could and would allow multiples with childlike faith to see and picture interactions with the spiritual world in a way that helps them heal. While my friend's healing process was a long, slow, arduous journey this book was one tool that helped her along the way.

This book was life-changing for me. I find it interesting that all these reviews are from people who either love or hate it... no middle ground... and the ones who hate it seem to have no experience with Jesus or his power to heal the wounded soul. I don't have DID and am not a multiple, nor was I ever abused in my life. However, I have found that I am fractured in my soul as well. I started to notice how often I berate myself for things I wish I hadn't said or done. What part of me is despising what other part?? I oppose myself! The things I want to do I don't do, and the things I don't want to do, I do, as stated by Saint Paul, who counted himself among those with fractured souls, yet gave glory to God through Jesus, who is the one who can deliver us and make us one. Even if this book is completely fictional - and I'm pretty sure it's not - I am grateful to Mr. Skolfield for writing it. It was the start of a path of healing for me. I'm starting to recognize self-destructive thought patterns, and am learning to love myself and extend the mercy of God to myself. How can you love anyone else if you hate yourself, anyway?
