This book is straight fire. It is relentless in critiquing the flaws of mainstream, universal feminism. You will laugh. You will cry. You will think, "Holy S*** did she just say that?!"

In one chapter, she directly addresses her male readers (myself included), where she basically writes, "You are not my f***ing problem." I love it!

Great read. Highly recommend. And REMEMBER: This is a radical feminist's critique on mainstream feminism, NOT a rightwing attack on feminism. This book is not for you if you are conservative and want a conservative attack on feminism. (Though I encourage you to still read it to see where there are commonalities, and where we might be able to unite)

He has participated in the obtaining and operation of numerous grant-supported programs aimed at the improvement of teacher education, serving as Principal Investigator and in other roles, and has also participated in teacher education endeavors in Europe and Asia. He also served as a consultant to many educational and governmental agencies, ranging from State Education Departments to the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia to the U.S. Department of Defense. He prefers thinking of himself as a teacher whose academic background is in science rather than as a scientist who also teaches.

H. Bernard Miller, Emeritus Director of the Intern Teaching Program for College Graduates, Temple University. Following WWII military service with the Third Infantry Division, Professor Miller completed the teacher education program at Temple University. He taught in a Philadelphia inner city school where he became department chair. Among his duties he worked with newly appointed teachers. He was subsequently invited to join the faculty of Temple University s Intern Teaching Program. He became Director of this award-winning program, serving for more than twenty years. Under his leadership the program became widely known, participating in the Peace Corps Returnee Teacher Program, and receiving a number of State and U.S. Office of Education OERI Teacher Mid-Career Training Grants providing for business, industry and military personnel to enter secondary teaching in urban areas. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania awarded Dr. Miller its first Certificate of Recognition in appreciation for his contributions to The Pennsylvania Teacher Intern Program. He holds his Doctorate from Temple University.

Excellent information

This book has for anyone that questions why they can't remember something. That is probably most of the adult population.

I found the “Four Keys to Growth” very interesting and helpful. Actually I found the entire book helpful and will be re-reading it. Will read several times because of course I have already forgotten quite a bit that I read the first time.

After reading this I may need to back off on the caffeine and get more sleep.

This is a well written book with a lot to take in and benefit from.

I think it is shameful that a company as large as Amazon does not have procedures online that customers can use to remedy situations like this. Laurie's first book, The Beginner's Guide to Dog Agility, laid the groundwork for many students' agility careers. She has also competed in obedience trials and raced sled dogs. Laurie lives in Windsor, California.

Great training aid

I recently received this book as a gift.

My dog and I began formal agility training about 3 years ago, have been running at trials about 1-1/2 years. I had some specific problems at trials - my dog did not work away from me, I had difficulty with tight turns; he consistently knocked the first jump bar; I didn't trust my dog. For example, at class I would use a rear cross and even a blind cross but at a trial I would revert to a front cross.

I read several chapters in the book: working away, tight turns, discrimination of obstacles, motivation problems and a few others. We practiced the exercises in the yard and at class. In the past four weekends we had 8 trials. My dog moved up from Open Standard to Excellent Standard, we finished Novice Fast and have two Q's in Open Fast. We moved up from Novice Jumpers to Open Jumpers and have two Q's.

The book helped us resolve some problems resulting in more consistently successful runs. The lessons in the book are valuable to those running Excellent level runs as well as Novice and Open. I found the book to be a great addition to formal agility training.

Great guide to get a better agility performance out of your dog, and YOU!

Very easy to follow, nicely explained, love the methods used, etc. This book is up-to-date (as of 2013), and is a great compliment to training classes. It will help you better understand why you do what you do, how to handle better, and how to train your dog what you want w/o using compulsion.

Good bok for serious enthusiasts!

Good book, but the ebook version has some major problems. Would have given four stars but for that. I'd recommend the hard copy.
